A scanner darkly

Yea! I got an unexpected positive result today while trying to tidy the warehouse. I found my old scanner. I’ve previously found a whole lifetime’s worth of my old pictures and I wanted to get them onto the computer to archive them, so I was planning to go buy a cheap scanner tonight. Now I have a slightly tidier warehouse and a scanner, thus saving myself about £50 ($80), which is a result.

That also means I’ll be doing something I enjoy over the Bank Holiday weekend and I’m going to let my kids help me. They’ll learn how to scan and archive photos and get a bit of family history into the bargain. Now, there’s quality time for you.

I daren’t tell my wife in case she shouts at me for nearly spending £50 we don’t have on something we didn’t need. Oh, how I’ve heard that phrase so many times over the years. Justifiably so, too.

Life is good, isn’t it? That gives me an idea to post a smilie depicting my emotional state every time I post. That would be a fascinating (to me) chart of my ups and downs. I need to go find some great emotional smilies.
