Better meta writer

I’ve just installed the meta tag plugin that should enable me (if it works) to make these posts a little more visible via search engines.

As an exercise in configuring software it’s worth the ten minutes anyway, although I’m not sure of the exact value for a blog like this. I shall certainly have a better idea once it’s up and running and that is the only way to learn, isn’t it? Try something and then analyse the results.

Amin, I couldn’t find an email, so can I just drop a thank you here – sorry off topic I know.

Your comment on Little Minx – about my ‘Soul searching’ story will be highly valued – thanks, but don’t be stupid about being depressed, do you know how much I love your story on Skinty?

As for the one on Inner Minx about the pentagram, I’ll just say thanks again! I don’t think that I will look at it the same again!!!!

Hi Minx. Thanks for the comments. Your story was utterly delicious – actually, I’ve never mentioned before that I ‘taste’ good stories. I mean literally taste in my mouth. Is that normal? Anyway, yours tasted good – real good.

As for the pentagram, well, typical bloke, you know!

  3. Oh God, coming from me after my little blog went astray, you’d probably smile when you know I really, really mean it when I say, “Good Luck, Amin.” I’m a fine one to talk.

Thanks for your supportive comments yesterday.
    cheers, friend.

Susan, my meta tag plugin doesn’t seem to be working so I’m a bit scared to fiddle about with it now.

If it ain’t broke – don’t fix it!

I suppose I’ll have to learn how to do it at some point, but I think it might be prudent to have a dummy blog just to learn on!

So how’s this new program working for you, Amin?

  6. Hi Amin,
If you’re ‘tasting’ stories now in addition to everything else, you really will have to go on that diet!

  7. amin says:

    Hi Roberta.

I can’t get it to work. And at the moment I daren’t mess around too much after Susan’s technical glitch. I intend to try it on a throwaway blog, but it’s not likely to be until the weekend.

    Susan, hi.

I’ve started on my diet and I’ve weighed myself. Since I first posted about my weight maybe 10 days ago, two weeks? I’ve lost about 5 pounds, BUT my biceps are much more muscular and I don’t work out so that’s bit weird.

Now, I have taken over most of the cooking at home and instead of stuff from packets and tins I am cooking real food with stuff that has to be prepared. Maybe the better nourishment is making the difference. I didn’t realise until this morning that I’ve lost a relatively fair amount of weight and I am stronger. So I’m treating the stories I read as my just desserts and yes, I really do tast them. I think it’s called synaestesia, or something like that.

I see day of the week in colours, too. Monday is blue, Tuesday is green, Wednesday is brown, Thursday is a chocolate brown, Friday is black, Saturday is yellow and Sunday is white.

    Boy, I really am weird.

You are right Amin, it is called synaethesia and you are not weird! A friend of mine tastes colours and they are not even linked (orange for orange say). She will smack her lips at a red dress and say ‘mmm sort of pencil shavings’.
It is due to the neaurons in the brain being slightly off kilter making the senses linked in a more complicated way than usual.
I think it is a gift – develope it!

I’ve been enjoying reading the comments, Amin. Minx is right about synaethesia, it’s quite a unique thing to have. A friend of mine sees colour coming out of people’s mouths as they speak! Guess it’s similar to seeing auras? I don’t know, but this subject fascinates!
