In my head I can hear a beautiful soulful voice, but when it comes out of my mouth it's off-key. I remember being able to sing when I was a teenager, but something happened (not voice breaking) that killed my tonality. Don't know what it was. I still like to sing even though everyone around me wishes I wouldn't! I listened to myself singing on tape a few times and it is painful to hear! Many writers are highly artistic in more than one aspect of the arts. I have a friend, Anna, who is also a painter and a wonderful poet and writer. And I am a writer and a musician (piano and voice).
