It’s a contest with the chance of ending up being published. Rather good, eh?

You only get 750 words to make your mark, but the contest closes on 1st September so there’s time to write, edit and polish. Oh, and submit. Yes, quite important that last bit!

I highly recommend you spend a minute to visit and have a read – it will illuminate one part of the human condition for you. Quite sad, wistful and beautifully crafted.

When I read it it transported me into the mind of my favourite opera’s heroine, yet when I watch the opera, Madama Butterfly, I usually associate with the lead male, Pinkerton, particularly his remorse at the end.

Susan’s piece is highly evocative – go visit now.
