Controversy about Jesus.

There’s a story here, on the Time magazine site, that is stirring up tremendous feelings on both sides of a large camp.

Seems people are claiming they have found Jesus’ body. If it’s true, it opens up all kinds of questions and if it’s not true then it’s just a cruel hoax played by somebody who – may – just be wanting some good publicity. Well, if it’s just publicity, it’s working.

Seems over 4,000 people have already registered their comments. I’ve elected not to leave mine, simply because whatever my faith, or lack of it, may be it will not affect the outcome of the ‘unveiling’ on Monday. James Cameron, the filmmaker, is doing the unveiling. I seriously hope they don’t have Jesus, Joseph or Mary. I can’t imagine anything less edifying than seeing dead bodies paraded around to promote a film.

One Response to Controversy about Jesus.

  1. Doug Karr says:

The irony here is that Jesus’ real name was Yeshua, lost in translation over time. Names 2,000 weren’t as ‘original’ as they are now. That’s 2 strikes on me having interest in this publicity stunt. Believers call it ‘faith’ for a reason. Faith requires no proof. :)
