I have worried a great deal about your fingers but really didn't know what to say or even if you wanted me around to say anything. I am often cautious like that. I'm sure the bright sunshine will soon spill its rays on your destiny and things will look up again. No apologies are necessary. No one's going to blame you because you took an extra day or two. Just be sure you don't strap your fingers so tightly you cut off the circulation to them. I'm sure the rest of your readers would agree with me; the important thing is to let those fingers <i>heal</i> so you'll be able to type more stories, and your novel, and hopefully more novels after that one... I wish there were something I could do to help you. I've hurt my own fingers a few times, although never that badly, so I have some idea what you're going through.
