Thanks for the info. I have checked LuLu.com out and I think it’s a great service, as you say.

My plans aren’t set in stone yet, but it’s a different way to distribute books directly via the net, rather than in hardcopy printed format.

It may work and it may be a total waste of time, but I’m partnering with a very good journalist friend who writes some excellent fiction himself and we think there may be some mileage in it. We shall see!

Perhaps you have a better idea; I can think of a few ways LuLu could be improved. But if you haven’t already, I suggest you might want to at least look them over before you go too far. You’ll want to take them into account if you’re thinking of anything even remotely similar.

Finally, I’m writing a short book (if I can find time to finish it) with tips for authors who want to self-publish. If you get your site up in time, I’d certainly consider mentioning it.
