My tongue is burning
I decided today, after yesterday’s unpleasantness swallowing garlic cloves like tablets, to chew the garlic cloves instead. BIG mistake. Don’t ever do it. My tongue is now on fire and I can only imagine what’s happening in my stomach. I’ve taken 3 cloves of garlic, which is what I’ll use as a standard ‘dose’. It was like chewing a burning rag. Actually, in the end I had to give up and I chopped the 3rd clove into several small pieces and swallowed them like tablets. I have an IQ of 148 and it never occurred to me to make the pieces that much smaller. Stupid with a capital FOOL.
However, I took my blood pressure before taking the garlic and it was high, 150/102 – not good. I’ll check it again in an hour and then in two hours to see how long it takes the garlic to do its trick and to see how much of a trick it does. I’ll take my regular medication in 2-3 hours so I can isolate the results from the garlic. I want to know what dosage and how often to stay on track!
I’ve uploaded a picture of myself when I was 21 and weighed just over 11 stones (154 pounds). I was, quite literally, half the man I am now. And I want him back. He could run up stairs, dance all night, lift weights, swim, do yoga. Everything a normal person should be able to do. Even when they’re 47. So, that’s roughly where I’m heading although I don’t expect to get down to 11 stones again – that would be very hard to do. I’ll never have quite that much hair again either, even if it does come back into fashion!
The other picture is me now, looking decidedly not fit and healthy. My eyes, which are normally very big, are almost closed because of my lack of energy. Even my nose got fat, for pity’s sake! It only took a very short time to go from picture A to picture B. I hope it takes no longer to go from picture B to being a picture of health.
I’ll let you know.
