Seems like only yesterday since I last posted anything on here and now it’s eons later and there’s nothing new.
I’m having some trouble with my fingers still, having sliced them some time ago, although I can tell they are actually getting better. The horrible sensation when typing is quite troubling though. My own fault for being careless.
Work is very up and down at the moment. Lots of work going on – including various arguments – and not much business, but we’re hoping that will turn round over the next few months.
And winter is on its way. I know because my hacking cough is coming back. I dropped the nasal spray for a few months over the summer and now I’m coughing like a dog choking on a hairball. Yes, I’m taking the meds again now – 2 days and counting, but it’s a while before it’ll kick in so right now I get to have fitful sleeping and unpleasant daytimes. Just delightful.
I have a particular story I want to tell which will be considerably longer than anything I’ve done before. It’s a very personal story so I’m really quite uneasy about telling it, but I think I need to get it out of my system. I’m hoping to post it here sometime over the weekend.
Christmas seems only just around the corner – it’ll be 2007 before we know it. I say it every year and I’m sure I’m not alone, but really, where does the time go?
Hi Amin…I love your blog! I stopped by to remind you about our stories we are posting on Friday. I was going to email you, the list of links, (everyone who is writing a story) that you could just paste at the end of yours. But, I can’t find your email address. You can just copy my list from my post and paste it if you like.
I can’t wait to read the stories…Also, once everyone has posted I will update the link on my blog to represent that particular post and not just their blog.
Thanks,
Cathy…:)
Amin, I’ve been worried about you. I’m sorry to hear your fingers are still bothering you. I know what you mean about coughing and choking as the weather cools down. I take capsules of dried nettles, and that seems to help.
I hope your business picks up; I know how it can be when things are slow. I’ll look forward to your next posting. (Sorry; I think this comment is a bit disjointed. I haven’t managed enough sleep all this week.)
Amin, where is your “An Innocent Victim of a Lie Told in Silence” post? And here I was looking forward to reading it.
I am so sorry to hear about your fingers. I broke a finger once and then couldn’t believe how much I needed that finger until I couldn’t use it! I hope you get better very soon!
Jas
Oh Amin, the health of the body is often a reflection of what is going on in the mind and your post feels ‘down’. My positive thoughts are with you!
It’s closing in on the weekend. I’m still checking for your difficult story…
Just so’s you know.
Sorry to hear you hurt your fingers. When I get sick nowadays, versus in my writer’s block years, I wonder how it will affect my writing before I think of anything else. So I sympathise if your injury has affected your creating.
I could relate to your comment about not knowing if you should post something that is personal and revealing. I have struggled with the same thoughts but I think it is brave to go for it. The best work we can do, I believe, is inspired by the depths of our most tender emotional scars.
Well it was great to stop in and catch up on your writing here today. Hope you have a great day,
Sara
I hate typing with hurt fingers as well. I hit my left index with a hamer last week, and it is only just getting better.
I hate that too, I hit my left index finger with a hammer last week and it is only just beginning to feel right again. Have fun picking!
Amin, sorry to hear about your fingers. I don’t know the background here, or what your work is, but I hope it all gets better for you.
Good luck!
Just wanted to let you know I linked to you.
Hi Amin, just dropping by after a while. Sorry to hear about your fingers; I hope you are feeling better now.
Best wishes.
I hope you’re okay. Haven’t heard from you in a while.
All my prayers.
Finished picking yet Amin? We’re all waiting patiently for the crop.
Hey… time just keeps amusing us all with its relativity… so long, but so short…
hope u enjoy the short/long moments left..
Hey, are you ok Amin? It’s been ages. Just something to show there’s life out there would be good!
Hi Amin,
We miss you. Where are you? Hope everything’s ok, my friend.
