I agree; this is a wonderful way for writers to meet and share their work. And, while I don't mind healthy criticism that will help me learn to improve, I'm glad we've found a group of people who can respect each other's work without feeling the need to tear each other to pieces.

And, by the way, I hope the lack of posts in the past day or two means you're having a great time writing or doing something else, and not that you're having trouble with your fingers. I've had a few times I had trouble typing, and it's no fun at all.

Thanks, Minx.

You're so right: it is absolutely cool that we can - and are - positive and supportive in this online community of souls. I think it's bloomin' marvellous, as Eliza Doolittle might have said!

There are enough 'critics' in the world already, making their crust. We all write differently, we all have something to say and how cool that this is one place where we can be positive and supportive to one another.
I read your entry on C of N Amin, and I loved your entry for Skinty's very successful competition - slick n' sleazy. Good words all round!!

Yes, I agree, definitey a great and supportive community. As Saleeha said in one of her story blogs, it's strange our blogosphere opens up a whole new world of friends.
And I just love all the creativity out there.

Amin - Thank you for your beautiful comment about my entry at CofN. I feel very strongly too about writers supporting other writers. I had never shared much until I came upon this "village" of people.

I think insecurity is the telltale mark of a writer. It's so great to get encouragment. Amen.

Brandon, Saaleha, it is great, isn't it? In a world where (oh dear, that sounds like one of those voice-overs for a new film) interaction with others can sometimes be awkward I find it delightful that an international community of strangers can be so mutually supportive.

Truly wonderful.

Amin, I was surprised at how much people were willing to tell me and how committed we all seem to each other almost immediately. The comments are great to receive and fun to give, especially after reading a great new post.

Well Amin, I think it is pretty much the same for all of us. We inspire one another and it's great. It's always fun to read someone else's work
